Meet Jason, the original LawnGuru provider.
When we launched the LawnGuru app in 2015, Jason and his crew were the first official team we dispatched. It’s been such a pleasure to grow together while simultaneously building our businesses. Fast forward to 2017, Jason is laying fat stripes all summer and plowing all winter! He’s one of the best when it comes to snow removal in Brighton and surrounding cities.

How long have you owned your lawn business:

What is your favorite part about LawnGuru?
The fast payments. I receive direct deposits from LawnGuru daily which allows me to more easily pay my crews due to the positive cash flow.
What is your favorite brand of mower, why?
The type of machine isn’t as important to me as the people I have servicing my customers. We use Exmarks and they’ve been great, but I will always invest more in my crews.
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever run over with a lawn mower?
A pair of hedge trimmers. The mower flung them about three houses down the street from the property I was cutting. Luckily no one was hurt and my machine was okay too.
What’s the craziest experience you’ve had while cutting grass?
I had a dog chase me and try to jump on my lap while mowing.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I love to fish.
What is your favorite outdoor service to perform and why?
Planting trees, I’m good at it, and I find it to be the most lucrative for my business model.
Jason’s Advice:
All my relationships have begun with cutting grass so keep your lawn customers happy, but also pick what you like to do and try to excel at that. You’ll always sell the most of what you love.
