Favorite part about working with LawnGuru?

The app is really user friendly so I am able to navigate every function pretty easily, which makes the whole process much smoother. I’d also say that not only the number of customers, but the quality. I get along well with each customer I’ve serviced and built into my route which is awesome.

What feature of LawnGuru do you like the most?

Being able to message my customers with service updates right within the app. I like keeping the lines of communication open with my customers so I can let them know when I’m on my way, finished with their lawn, and any delays that come up.

How has LawnGuru improved your personal business?

LawnGuru has gotten me more customers, I’m now able to fill up a complete weekly route. I’ve been cutting lawns for a long time but my business is fairly new. It takes time to build a route and I never imagined I’d have a full one by the end of this season, so the overall experience has been great for me.

Favorite brand of lawn mower?

Toro. They’re good quality and they never break down on me. I always get a good cut with it, nice and defined stripes.

Craziest thing you’ve run over with a lawn mower?

I haven’t hit anything out of the ordinary but I have hit sprinkler heads by mistake. The most unexpected hit came when I was doing a lawn and someone forgot to shut off the sprinkler system so it popped up right as I was going over it. It’s super important customers make sure they regulate their sprinkler system settings with their cuts to avoid this.

What drives you to do what you do?

lawn mowing provider in Gainesville standing by a Christmas treeMy family is my motivation. My wife and I have three kids so that is a driving force of getting me out of bed in the morning, to earn a good life for them.

Favorite outdoor service to perform?

I’ve always loved mowing the most. There is definitely something relaxing and satisfying about leveling the lawn and getting clean lines.

Top pet peeve?

Biggest pet peeve hands down are dog droppings! I can’t say this enough but customers need to clean up after their pets. It’s not fun to work in those conditions and then later have to clean it off of the equipment.

The craziest thing to happen to you while mowing?

When I was a kid cutting for someone else, I was in Keego Harbor, Michigan and we worked this one street with 8/9 houses on the lake. One of the customers came out wanting to talk, so I jumped off the mower. The mower kept going and went right into the lake!

What do you do when you’re not working?

I’m a referee for hockey and lacrosse. I also play hockey myself in a men’s league! Outside of that, I take my kids to their scout & robotics club meetings, etc. We’re big on activities!

We know you’re originally from Michigan, when did you move to ATL?

In 2002 my wife graduated from Eastern Michigan University and moved to Atlanta to further her education. So we’ve been down here coming up on sixteen years!

Favorite place to spend your days off?

I love going to Taco Mac, they have a wide selection of beer, about 300 choices. They have thirty to forty TV’s which basically makes it the best spot to watch sports.

Favorite place to eat in ATL?

I’ll always love Outback Steakhouse, my favorite meal is a good steak.
